High- efficiency low profile residential wind turbines will win out over traditional windmill designs in all new installations. Existing wind generator are impractical in many areas because the available power grows as the cube of the average wind speed wind speed increases these turbines are built very large, required large open areas , and require placement 30 plus feet above the surface where larger wind speed can be leveraged to produce a consistent level of generated energy. in this model turbines work well for industrial or resale but are not a solution for the residential market.
